Choose my home page in WordPress

Step 4 of the Build my WordPress site series.

Here's how to choose which page is displayed by default when someone visits your site.

1. Sign in to WordPress.
2. In the left-side menu, select Settings and then Reading.
3. Next to Your homepage displays, select A static page (select below) and then in the Homepage list select the page you want.
   • Or, if you want to use your blog page as your home page, select Your latest posts.
4. Select Save Changes.

Once you choose your home page, you're ready to add pages to your navigation menu.
